Asera is a food supplement based on Jujube, Melissa, Valerian, Griffonia and Melatonin. Valerian and Jujube are useful for relaxation, Griffonia and Melissa contribute to mental well-being and hormonal mood. Furthermore, Melatonin helps reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by taking 1 mg of melatonin just before going to bed.


  • Jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) is a deciduous plant of the Rhamnaceae family, also known as Chinese date, natsume or tsao. It is known for its calming and laxative properties.

  • Melissa officinalis or lemon balm is a wild, perennial and resistant herbaceous plant, much sought after by bees, which is why it takes its name from the Greek "mélissa". Melissa officinalis is also used as a sedative for states of anxiety with visceral somatization and agitation.

  • The common Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is a flowering plant (angiosperm) belonging to the Valerianaceae family. The root of the plant is used, although it has an unpleasant odor. It has sedative and calming properties, promoting sleep.

  • Griffonia simplicifolia is a woody plant of the Fabaceae family, mainly present in the humid tropical areas of Africa. The dry extract of the mature seeds of Griffonia simplicifolia is a food supplement used in herbal medicine and phytotherapy for its mood and sleep regulating properties.

  • N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine is synthesized by our brain in the absence of light. Shortly after the onset of darkness, its concentrations in the blood increase rapidly, reaching a peak between 2 and 4 am, then decreasing as morning approaches. Its function is to regulate the sleep-wake cycle.
